Am I the sum of my memories or my dreams?

Background...
I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. After an eclectic boyhood blend of crazy farm adventures and city life I went to London, UK to study international business - but it wasn't until a few years later, while working as an art director for a news paper, I realized my passion for performing and story creation. From that moment it was only a matter of time...

Interests...
I'll tell you what, my beautiful wife/life pirate matey and I are enjoying the recent arrival of our second baby, and that is really interesting! I am strongly focused on acting. I want to push myself beyond the boundaries of being the 'dirty blond classic looking dude'...there is a quirky side to me I love to access and feel comfortable playing. My aim is to shed a warmer, more vulnerable, and dynamic light on the characters I portray.
Additionally I want to blend my passion for performance with my business experience by being part of a filmmaking team as a producer or art director...that is a mid-term goal.

I love photography and used to do it professionally while at the newspaper. I also sold my own photography, so I appreciate the beauty of images and am now having fun being on the other side of the camera, modeling.
Beyond entertainment interests I am fascinated by native and ancient cultures and their ways of living. I study human origins and am intrigued by Cherokee medicine technique. I love most all music and have been professionally trained in hand procession. I like drawing geometric patterns for fun.

Skills...
I love dancing and have had fun doing it on screen. I have lifeguarded for many years, and am an expert swimmer in multiple styles. I can skateboard, rollerblade, water ski, and snowboard, all pretty well. I have five-star culinary training and love inventing soups in particular. Traveling makes me come alive and I have had the gift of visiting 14 countries. Having soaked in other people's ways and views lends me a unique perspective in portraying characters...I see travel, and the life perspective it brings, as a skill. I can't get enough of horseback riding and took care of horses when I lived in Kentucky. I am very experienced with bow and multiple styles of rifle and hand guns. And my personal favorites; I can juggle three objects, and in a pinch, know how to fly a small airplane.

Accomplishments...
I have published poetry, won the US Army's National Short Film competition in 2005, redesigned an entire newspaper and made it the #1 ranked military newspaper in the country, managed the James Beard Foundation's culinary event at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and was given the Kentucky Colonel Award...Betty White has that too! I did hospitality consulting with The American Club, a golf resort that was a Forbes 4-star rated property, and after working with a team, the effort gained the property the exclusive Forbes 5-star rating. I helped develop a business plan for an independent film company that has aided in it landing a pre-production distribution deal. I was gifted to work with one of my favorite actors, Rufus Sewell on a television show in 2009. I played my first lead role in a feature film last year. Recently I opened a media production company in Milwaukee where we currently reside. And the coolest gig I've booked; having my wife say yes to me, and getting to make my three epic children laugh every day.

Bottom line - I want to take all the gifts and experiences I've been given and bring joy, energy and life into this universe, this earth...by doing the things that make me come alive. I know I can inspire others to come alive.
